MIRAGE OF HAPPINESS
Under the dark clouds through the heavy rains,
the train is running in it's speed on rainy tracks.
The glance outside the window is equally dense,
as the silence of inside, but suddenly it cracks.

On the station a young woman stepped inside,
and sat in his front bringing surprise to both the eyes.
Flashes of lightning struck along a far hill side,
and made both of them look towards the skies.

His deep heavy voice dispels the fog of silence,
asking her present and brings her from past.
But their past slowly sneaked in the ambience,
that now appears, throughout the journey, to last

Rain was deluging the day when they first met,
and that first sight in her thoughts began to reign.
When she first looked him with her eyes that were wet,
appeared an elf looking into him through a pane.

They came close to each other days after days,
breezing intimacy to one another's mind and heart.
She began to position her at zenith in her says,
in the tides of ardour in affection on his part.

But the course of life brought a passion in him,
to bring world's every comfort to his home.
All his won relations on earth started to dim,
but he was still swimming in a wealth's tome.

Looking quietly at the water laden open ground,
he tells, "To be home the palace is still thirsty".
"One day you will find a home in that mound",
she answers in a voice that sounds to him dusty.

Replies he, "I tried to fill rich hues in your life,
so that sailing high on clouds you rule this world."
Says she, "Still today I respect your efforts in rife,
but in the sail, with me, you were never furled".

"I spent numerous lonely nights waiting for you,
and wishing at sunrise your stretched arms' call.
When questioned about your absence I never flew,
but told rightly how hard you work standing tall."

Darkness had long paved the way to evening light,
but the wheels still appear the same chant to make.
As her destination comes after the journey of night,
she utters her final words in the morn, for his sake.

"Today you fit great to the place where you stand,
and the palace will become your dream home soon."
From behind the clouds sun is touching the land,
through fragrant earth the train again began it's tune.

REUNION

I still remember that half-lit dawn,
when a bad dream stole my sleep.
From beyond the field of ripe corn,
the morning light just began to peep.

Suddenly a flute's sweet sound,
Came sailing in my ears.
And touched my swelled heart I found
softly drying all the suppressed tears.

I slowly closed my eyes,
and began to listen to that tune.
It suffused in my sighs,
the fragrance of a mysterious fume.

My steps in that fume I kept,
and found a girl sitting in silence.
For long her eyes seemed to have wept,
in grief of her beloved, losing cadence.

Seeing me , she came running with mirth,
carrying tears of joy in her eyes.
Then she took me to an earth,
where echoed only the sounds of our sighs.

A strange chiaroscuro surrounded the place,
creating an ambience of past reminiscences.
Dawned upon me, but obscurely, a face,
as if a moon behind the clouds glimpses.

Flashes of some events passed by,
in the chiaroscuro as we walked.
That obscure face appeared nigh,
to me and to my memory it knocked.

I saw both of us in those events,
spending hours in golden shores.
I saw her walking in the pavements,
with silent steps on the floors.

With those steps she used to come,
to my home with flower's fragrance.
She seemed to dispel every glum,
with her arrival that I can sense.

I saw the evenings with sun setting,
and we were moulding our dreams.
I saw in the nights, waiting,
for moon to bath under it's streams.

I saw us standing erect facing,
the storm when things demolished.
I saw the tranquility, for us, tracing,
words for emotions that we cherished.

But suddenly I saw us in a mist,
for no reason indulged in strife.
With sullen face she held my wrist,
but I went forever from her life.

The face was of my beloved I found,
whome I lost for my own obstinacy.
In the mist mingled her steps' sound,
and I found myself lonely and hazy.

To my eyes, morning rays struck,
in which I saw the glittering world.
I returned home after a day's work,
and my morning dream I furled.

For a knock I opened the door,
and found her standing in my front.
Lunacy of joy was sailing before,
my eyes making my vision blunt.

Holding me in her arms tightly,
she told why today she came.
I found in her words that rightly,
her and mine dreams were same.

She found me on a river's bank,
sunk in grave silence , walking.
She saw us in a conflict's hank,
and later in tears she was soaking.

We perceived for the first time,
our empathy's strength that day.
In a pleasant breeze, the clime,
seemed a tune of reunion to play.
